About the Culinary Showdown

Get ready for the third annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation KitchenAid Cook for the Culinary Showdown. The past two years were a tremendous success raising over $1.2 million and this year is going to have some new surprises in store!

On Saturday November 14, 2015 at the Westin Harbour Castle, an all-star lineup of chefs from the Food Network, will join the top 50 fundraising foodies to compete in the third annual CBCF KitchenAid Cook for the Cure Culinary Showdown. This extraordinary challenge gives culinary enthusiasts the opportunity to fundraise their way to a chance to cook alongside celebrity chefs in a chopped-style competition as seen on TV!

This unique event includes the following exciting initiatives:

Celebrity Chefs School, 10:30am-3:00pm: Celebrity chefs will teach qualified participants and their guests the tricks of the trade and how to become a culinary master. Participants will learn some great trade secrets on food prep, knife skills, cooking methods, and more.

The Culinary Showdown, 6pm: The event will start with a cocktail reception where invited guests have the opportunity to take photos with the celebrity chefs, bid on silent auction items and mingle with other guests. Following the cocktail reception, the main event will begin! Audience members will enjoy a delicious dinner as the celebrity chefs and their teams of the top 50 fundraisers take the stage. Fifty fundraisers will be split into five teams, each team led by a celebrity chef, and will compete under the spotlight to create three unique dishes each using state of the art KitchenAid appliances, and applying the skills mastered during the Celebrity Chefs School.

The evening will also include an amazing array of silent auction items and a one-of-a-kind live auction including culinary experiences from the participating chefs.
